Pianist Esther Chan has performed in many Bay Area venues and series, including Noontime Concerts, First Congregational Church, Star Classics, Sequoia Concerts, and the Community Music Center Piano Marathons.

When she lived in the Midwest, she was also an active performer and has been invited to play in Preston Bradley Hall in Chicago, a concert that was broadcasted over local television. She is a dedicated teacher who has given workshops on contemporary teaching repertoire and presented masterclasses for the California Association of Professional Music Teachers.

A busy adjudicator for competitions and festivals held throughout the Bay Area, Ms. Chan is nationally certified by the Music Teachers National Association and is also an active member of the Music Teachers Association of California as well as the Berkeley Piano Club. Her article “Discovering the Musical Image” appeared in the Keyboard Companion Magazine.

Her students have been winners in several area competitions.
